back to school blogging::
Festival is in full swing and that means the kids are back in school! That means a couple hours a day of dedicated work time!
This has been probably one of the worst years for that "where the hell did the summer go?" feeling - between the improv festival, more time with the family, signing a lease on a building and parading around with nerds the days blur together pretty easily. But in a good way instead of that "standing in front of the baggage claim screens trying to remember what city I was just in" constant travel way. Which is a nice change.
I still can't fathom that it's only been a few months since the big change out of being gone and killing time in airports and hotels constantly, it feels like forever in comparison to the vortex that was relentless work travel. I still have yet to get through a winter without constantly flying off to somewhere warm...so that will be an adjustment as well.
For the first time in a long time I feel like I'm fully engaged and energized all around, like there isn't that one area that I'm putting up with or slogging through just waiting to get to the other stuff - I very much look forward to time spent working on the HUGE space every day, I look forward to spending time with the family in the evenings, I look forward to teaching on Thursday nights so much that I wake up with ideas for class, and I look forward to suiting up and acting like an idiot clown all weekend - and the cycle repeats.
Soon enough the theater will be open, the Festival will be closed, submissions for the improv festival will be open and school will be out for the holidays. And around and around we go.

Thursday night class is the best part of the week. That's my story.
