Holy crap, I think Canada sits in a gravity well or something but time moves much slower here.
Yesterday we finally got into the setup for the show, which is not the typical gig for me since it's all laptop computers instead of our normal nifty little keypads - so instead of 600 very simple machines that tend to behave in very simple ways, I got 55 really nice machines that just decide to do things on their own, with no explanation or pattern.
We did get a bunch of sweet IBM laptops, which means Windows can get even more irritating with even greater speed and precision. I think I spent 78% of my day closing pop-up balloons telling me about something I just did or telling me what Windows just did.
Using Windows is like owning a Labrador that eats nothing but Ritalin.
After a long day in the ballroom I'm back to my room for very little sleep.
Who decided that having their hotel chains feel exactly the same in every city you visit is somehow comforting? I find it a little creepy and it makes every city feel the same in precisely the ways you'd hope they'd be different and it's only speeding up the blur between each trip.
Another day in Marriott-Land.
