Monday morning blog - Happy Anniversary, I got you a blog!

Even though we were married several years ago today in the baking sun in front of a judge that could very easily have died in the heat in the fastest wedding ceremony anyone has ever seen, this past Saturday marked the celebration of my wedding anniversary.
The wife and I took a little mini-vacation back to the St. Paul hotel in an effort to make up a little of the time we didn't get to spend there on our wedding night (we had to depart before sunrise for the airport) and managed to have a fun little evening away from everything in the strange, exotic land of St. Paul.

It's odd to think of things in terms of just number of years since we went through the nuptial procedure since she's been with me for about 13 years total and was a profound positive influence on my life and Anthony's long before we made our friends sit out in the sun on the hottest day of the entire year.

Let's face it - I'm the luckiest guy anywhere.
I can take a lot of 'putting up with' and for that alone my wife should be commended but she inspires me to be a better person just by being part of my life. The fact that a woman like her wants to spend all her time and energy with me is proof that I don't understand anything at all.
She's wonderful, beautiful, patient, smart and the best, strongest mother any kid could have and the best thing that could've happened to a snarky, punk single-parent and his son(s).

I love you baby - I'm so glad you're with me every day.
