Talkin' about plans and future scams

Saturday morning blog - counting down the hours now

Much to do, much to do.
The TCIF fundraiser happens this morning thanks to Jill Bernard, show up and learn some Truth and Beauty, if you can handle it.  I have been kicking around the set that Jill and I did on Sunday and the more time I spend with it the more I love what happened and this new thing we're doing.

all the who/what/where,  which are usually the important things to find out, go completely missing and instead you get the context and impact of all of those things (she knows about Schrodinger's Cat even though she never studied math or science and he's not leaving until he gets his toast...it speaks volumes) , so much is inferred that you're not sure why you know what's going on, but you still do.  and that's super fun.
I actually could go on and on about the improv-academics (improvademics??) of the structure and their value but I suspect Jill will do a way better job at her workshop.
Get your ass there.

also - the Improv A Go Go needs you.
the show survives purely on word-o-mouth and people telling and bringing their friends, every so often we hit a lull in the energy and things seem like they're waning and people need to remember that it is their show and they need to take care of it and it will continue to take good care of the performers.

more improv news - NEW SHOW COMING
we're in the final stages of launching a new late-night show at the Brave New Workshop as part of the master plan to bring more improv and more improvisers to the stage and into the eyeballs of more people.  Things are being locked down right now but look for news here, on Myspace and the BNW stage.  We'll be talking it up at IAGG.

that is all for now.
that was all improv-business.  I promise more rambling later
btw - feel free to comment away.

Are you asking for advice on how to improvise? It seems as if you are. Perhaps I will illustrate by telling you how I solved this problem with MY children. Hmm.

Butch, I love improvising with you. Have I said that lately? You're the only motherfucker I know with whom I don't have to worry about the fact that I'm a motherfucker.

I love that our collaborations are built around doing shitty improv things to each other (and to the scene) and having it be ok.

our workshop on "Go Ahead and Fuck Your Partner" would be super fun.
