Inspection Day :: HUGE Theater
So today was supposed to be the "final" day of inspections before HUGE is officially given the green light to open our doors to the public - sadly our hardware delivery company had something to say about that, after delivering the wrong door frames and promising to deliver the correct frames "first thing in the morning" they arrived more than an hour AFTER the inspector had come and gone.
The inspector was very understanding but not so understanding as to allow us to open a public venue with no doors on the restrooms. It's still the unenlightened dark ages, apparently. Sheesh.
The correct frames are on site and the guy that was set to install them the last 2 mornings will be back again tomorrow to begin actually putting in the last piece we need in order to get the magic signatures in the right places. The inspector told me he is on duty all day tomorrow and Friday and will haul ass back to take a look as soon as we're ready as he "doesn't want to stand between us and opening" so things are overall incredibly positive - just not done yet.
I'm still shooting for IAGG this Sunday and Show X Monday to kick off the shows on our stage.
Stay tuned for the official word.
I am tired. Good night.
