I been with short tempers, I get behind the sharp knives. I believe the shots in the distance to be cold, hard facts

hey all - I've been meaning to get back to blogging again but Twitter has swallowed up all my random thoughts, summer has meant less time in airports/hotels to kill and blogger's guilt has stopped me from just cranking out a bunch of fluffy posts, as if a comeback to spewing my opinions on the internet better be good enough to be worth the wait.
Then I remembered I'm not even sure that anyone reads this space anymore and that I actually want to write for myself, for the sake of writing some of this stuff - and I got a little more jazzed.

No time to hammer out a post right now, just some pics from my travels and stuff I shot here and there during the often-referenced "insane amount of travel" I do. Looking at it all makes me realize I get to do some really cool shit, and not everybody has the ability or sense to say that.

But I think I'm ready to be back. Yeah, that feels about right.

Got sent to Chicago on a few trips, some were fun and some were short.

Also made more than a couple laps to NYC and back. Here's the view from the conference room of our NY office. I know, right?

While I was there I got to see Paul Simon play in a room with about 300 people. While I'm not a huge Paul Simon fan it was still really really cool. That man is microscopic. 4'1" at best.

A while back I was sent to DC - my first time in the capital and I managed to get out in the windy November cold. Took the train from Pentagon City to the heart of it all. Took an arty picture along the way.

Say what you want - this place is pretty awesome.

The wife and I snuck off to San Francisco not long ago for a wedding, my first time in the city with a car, so I was able to get out to the bridge on a perfect day.

Ah, Atlanta. Home to so many great people. None of them work here:

One of the more astounding days at work I've ever had included me standing at the top of an Olympic ski jump, riding the world's steepest zip-line down the mountain

and then the chair lift back up. Which was enough to make me say my job ain't bad, even when I was working several 21 hour days in a row. Must've been the thin oxygen.

Made a couple trips to Philly - Have yet to take a picture of the Rocky statue or see the Liberty Bell but I did find this awesome sushi joint and marked it on my GoogleMap app on my phone for future visits.

Holy shit - I saw Parliment in Las Vegas!! Yet another great day at work.

Did a show here for some of the big names, it was hosted by Charlize Theron (who is 9 feet tall and made me do a completely vaudevillian double-take) and Salma Hayek (who is shorter than you'd think, and devastating). I also met Buzz Aldrin, who is a fucking asshole.

This is the only photo I have from Louisiana, this was about an hour after eating the bacon-wrapped chicken stuffed with "seafood" - (the quotes were on the menu, it should have been my first warning) - and about 2 hours before my digestive system reversed course for just shy of 10 hours. Beer Pong!!!
I didn't play. But I know who did.

Yep - I've been to Vegas more times than I ever thought I would. I've gotten to perform, see shows, eat the best meals of my life and meet the scariest cab driver ever. He will happily put you through a glass table, just like his mouthy teenager, and he's happy to tell you all about it.

This is just a damn good photo for a camera phone

My first trip to Boston!
If I ever develop a drinking problem I will name it "Dale"

Whew. that's not even close to half the trips I've been on. Trying to get my brain around that is difficult during the slow summer weeks.

More soon. Really.

FYI, I still read your blog, every now and again... I have the RSS feed into my igoogle page.

Contact me next time you're in Chi-town. Telling my roommates you are in town is not good enough, they assume I am always too busy, but to be honest I just use it as an excuse to not have to hang out with them all the time.
