If I waited for them then I'd be no different than them - and I'm so certain that I am

Road blog: Ho Chunk Nation

Short blog this morning as I'm off to a big day of loading in and building just about every single piece of equipment our company owns for a huge production and a complete zoo of a show tomorrow.

Travel with the company has picked up to say the least and time at home with the wife and kids has become scarce at best for the near future and I'm looking forward to a couple weeks of red-eye flights back Friday nights so I can perform Saturday mornings (as opposed to this weekend, which I am missing entirely - which I hate but that was the deal) and still not see the family.

Festival season has always been the 'crazy' time of the year, having weekends eaten up will do that to anyone, but this year has been extra nuts. I just keep telling myself (ok, really I keep telling the wife) that it'll be over very soon and things will mellow.

That's it - I'm on the road and I'm going to be on the road a LOT in the upcoming weeks. I suspect this post will become the 'control' group in a series that will show the complete collapse of my mental state.
It's like the first polaroid in the stack next the bed marked 'Sloth' only precisely the opposite in terms of how I'm going to be driven nuts by constantly being in motion and never in the same place.

I'm not sure what the opposite of 'Sloth' would be but I'll be able to blog after I chew up my tongue. Lucky you. *

* man - the mental decay didn't take long at ALL. this should be great.

For the opposit of a sloth, I'm going with the fastest water dwelling egg layer which would be the Pacific leatherback turtle. How's that?

Hummingbird? You know hummingbirds have got to be nuts.

Umm. I think he meant the deadly sin, not the fuzzy, 3-toed, tree dwelling creature.
