and I practice all day on Saturday so on Sunday I play best

a short blog about the upcoming lack of blogs - and everything else

fall is when the work travel picks back up again, mine has already started with what seemed like a couple little, semi-local shows that have since screwed up all of my time and all my time to come for a few days.

Thanks to both clients getting me all the show files this morning I've spent all day trying to prep for show #1, which starts at 6am tomorrow - I am not done yet, which is to be expected considering it usually takes a few days to prepare.

After tomorrow's show I go directly to Duluth, where the second client is waiting for me. As I won't be able to work on the files she sent me this morning either during the show tomorrow or during my drive from Bloomington to Duluth - I need to also have them ready this evening.

When I return it will be in the middle of the night with just enough time to get out of my suit, gather my things and wake Aidan up for his Festival debut and arrive on site before the sun comes up.

After a morning wrangling little boy in costume I have a show, a wedding, another show, our stage show and a version of our stage show in a wedding followed by another show - all with less time in between than I would like.

then I can sleep a little.
Then Owen makes his Festival debut (originally postponed by false weather info) and I am glad my car knows the way home because by then I wont be steering anymore.

then next week gets busier.

but the shows should be silly, that's for sure.
Through it all I'm always excited to get back to show - it never feels like I'm working 7 weeks without a day off, it always feels like relief from the insanely hectic weeks it creates.

I'll remember that Friday night when I'm halfway home.
Off to the office to gather my equipment and dive into this.
