Tomorrow at Punch Out:
Five Man Job - six-fisted fury, producers of the IAGG and Twin Cities Improv Festival
take on
Ferrari McSpeedy - two guys that used to write some stuff about how Omaha was cool.
Apparently Mike just looked up from writing movie reviews and praying that complaining about allergies will somehow capture the zeitgeist of the entire internet and catapult him to blogger fame and fortune and realized he wanted to talk some shit. Fine.
it's kind of like the kid wheezing with asthma demanding to be allowed to play dodgeball. You sort of feel bad for him but hope that maybe he'll take away a valuable lesson in being honest with himself about limitations. So even though it's not really "challenging" or "satisfying" you pelt him...for his own good. Alright kid, you asked for it.
I'm having trouble even getting to the 'we're going to kick your ass at the show' stage since last time Mike and I were supposed to be in a show together I was left telling the host and audience I didn't know where he was and reading in his blog the next day that 'doing theater all the time is hard' and he just 'needed to take a break' so hopefully this doesn't prove too difficult for Mike's fragile constitution or too much for his mind, which spends weeks and months doing such taxing things as writing about how he should be writing his witty Fringe show, thinking about how witty his Fringe show will be and sabotaging relationships so he'll have something to write a Fringe show about.
I think there's another guy in Ferrari McSpeedy as well but since Five Man Job is an improv group and not a J - Pop band, Mike Fotis' career in comedy or his unborn child I think we're safe from him.
it'll cost you $10 to see how this all comes down
Friday at 11pm on the Brave New Workshop stage
if you see Mike between now and then give him a Claritin and encourage him to show up, won't you?
