Early morning show blog -
I'm on show today, but it's entirely abnormal because I'm actually in Woodbury instead of Atlanta or Houston or anywhere I normally work. Nope. Woodbury.
Which, as I've said before of our work travels, looks exactly like every meeting room everywhere else so it could be Beunos Airies for all that geographic locatuon matters.
The only weird things are what I don't have for this show. I kept getting that nervous feeling that I was forgetting something, kept wanting to figure out when I was leaving for the airport or pack my suitcase or print my boarding pass. Plus, as it was happily pointed out to me yesterday, the first things to go when we work locally are the perks.
No nice hotel room in the same building as the meeting, no per diem for good meals I usually get to look forward to in order to balance out the crappy hours and long days dealing with last minute requests from unprepared clients. Oh no, none of those good things.
Just up at 345am to commute to show.
So I'll be in show all day, in the back of the room playing Brickbreaker as usual, only this time I'm closer to home, which still makes this a better deal.
Butch in suit in Woodbury.
